Geomancer Build Tip Strat DOTA

Geomancer i've heard is one of the hardest players to master in DOTA. Recently i've tried him and found it hard to manage his ulti - which is splitting his player into multiple units.

The multiple hero units give you plenty of power and the ability to play all over the map, but if one of these units die - you the actual Geomancer hero dies.

I tried sending the Geomancer units all over the map, but this made it very hard to manage their health. Ive noticed when people use Geomancer and his units close together, it makes it much easier to manage them and keep their health higher.

When managed well, Geo is unstoppable in DOTA - his impact and damage with the multiple units is huge.

I'd like to hear your DOTA tips on Geo / Meepo - so please comment below on this post or put your DOTA Geomancer tips / setup / build into the forums

  1. The basic item build I go for Geo is here in descending order:
    1. start with ring of regen, ring of prot, and a tango.
    2. get 2 bracers as quick as possible to manage his hp.
    3. boots of speed for better chasing than just net
    4. start building a mek by finishing headdress
4a. when im feeling like i need mass lifesteal first i finish the basilus then start building a vlads usually going another ror, mask of death then the recipe.
    5. start working your way to eye of skadi for stable hp and more slow.
5a. if you're having trouble farming by this point finish your boots of travel before skadi so you can tp your meepos everywhere.
6.finish BoT or skadi pending which route you took on step 5.
    7. make sny for even more hp start with yasha for ms since your hp should be good by now.
    8. finish off with MKB or assault curaiss whatever you feel up to. Both give good dps but curaiss give you armor and the corruption aura.

Now lvling Geo is different with alot of people but this is how I do it:

    lvl 1-6:
    3 Geostrike
    1 Poof
    1 Net
    1 United we stand
Alot of people max out net first but i think the slow is better cause 500 range for net is alrdy good and with 2 meepos they will be slowed down quick especially if they dont have boots.

    6-11:
    4 Geostrike
    1 Poof
    4 net or 2 stats 2 net
    2 United we stand

By lvl 6 if I dont have at least 1k hp on my main (850 hp on clones) then I will go stats till I do.

    11-16:
    4 Geostrike
    1 poof
    4 net
    4 stats
    3 United We stand

Then dont put poof in until you have to. (it is only a means of transportation from meepo to meepo, no use putting in more lvls than you need to.
